———- INGREDIENTS ———-
• flax seeds, ground (1 cup | 150g)
• salt (1/2 tsp)
• baking powder (1 1/2 TBSP)
• eggs (4 pcs)
• water (1/2 cup |120ml)
• olive oil (4 1/2 TBSP | 36ml)
———- DIRECTIONS ———-
1/ Preheat the oven to 180°C | 356°F.
2/ Combine dry ingredients – ground flax seeds, salt, and baking powder.
3/ Add in eggs, water, and oil.
4/ Line the bottom of loaf tin with baking paper.
5/ Scrape the batter into the prepared pan.
6/ Bake for about 20 minutes. Select upper heat and bake for another 5 minutes.
7/ Remove from the oven and leave to cool.
8/ Serve and enjoy 🙂
*TBSP = tablespoon, tsp = teaspoon
**For standard bread loaf pan (8.5“ x 4.5“ x 2 5/8“ or 21.59 cm x 11.43 cm x 6.67 cm) you have to multiply everything by 1.3.
****The commercial baking powders are not so suitable for paleo or ketogenic diet. The baking soda in combination with apple cider vinegar or tartar is much more better.
Use the mixture of ½ TBSP of soda and 10.8g of apple cider vinegar instead of baking powder.
Another way for the preparation of your own baking powder is mixing the cream of tartar (2 tsp) and baking soda (1 tsp) together until well combined. This will give you one TBSP of baking powder.
