Today’s recipe is cheesy garlic bread sticks.
This Garlic Bread is made in domino’s style but instead of Maida (wheat flour), Atta(whole wheat flour) is used which is healthier than so called Maida.
Ingredients
For Garlic Bread Dough –
-Atta (Whole Wheat Flour) – 1 cup (120 Gms)
-Warm Milk – ½ cup (100 ml)
-Dry Yeast – 1 tsp.
-Sugar – 1 tsp.
-Salt – ½ tsp.
-Chopped Garlic cloves – 4 to 5
-Butter – 2 tsp.(from 25 ml)
-Oregano Flakes – ¾ tsp.
-Olive oil/ refined oil – 3 to 4 tbsp.
For Garlic Butter –
-Crushed garlic – 4 to 5
-Butter – 25 ml (1/4th cup)
-Some coriander leaves
Other ingredients –
-Chilly flakes
-Mozzarella cheese / pizza cheese
-Whole wheat flour to dust – 1 tbsp
RECIPE-
Add warm milk, dry yeast and sugar, mix well and keep aside for 5 mins to activate the yeast.
Add salt, crushed garlic pieces, oregano, butter and whole wheat flour.
Knead for 10 mins to make soft dough.
Coat the dough with olive oil, cover it with thin plastic wrap and rest for 2 hrs.
Further punch the dough, knead again for 1 min.
Spread the dough evenly with the help of roller.
Crush the garlic; mix it with butter and coriander leaves. Apply it over the dough generously.
Top with mozzarella cheese on half of the dough.
Also season with chilli flakes and oregano.
Fold the dough and seal the edges.
Apply garlic butter spread, also top with oregano and chilli flakes.
Make marks over bread without cutting them fully.
Bake at 180 degree for 15 mins or till the bread turns golden brown.
Cut the garlic bread into pieces, serve it with tomato sauce.
Note for making this using Maida:
If you are using Maida (Wheat flour) instead of Atta (Whole wheat flour), then use only half of the amount of salt and half of the amount of milk. Balance ingredients and recipe will be same as indicated above.
