Flaxseed chutney powder | Rich in Omega3 | Kids recipes | Lunchbox ideas | Healthy kid | Early Foods

Flax seeds are excellent in Omega 3 Fatty Acids, high on ALA (alpha-linolenic acid). All these good fats are building materials for the brain of our little ones.

So make sure you make a little batch of this chutney powder every week at home and enjoy it with Idli, Dosa, Hot Rice & Ghee, Raita etc.

How to Make:
Ingredients:
1. Flax Seeds – 1/2 cup
2. Channa Dal – 1 Tbs
3. Jeera 1/2 Tsp
4. Curry Leaves – 1 Handful
5. Pepper – 1/2 Tsp
6. Rock Salt (As per taste)

Method:
First roast the channa dal well on a medium flame until they turn slightly brown. Now add curry leaves, flax seeds. Flax seeds will immediately start popping up, so close the lid.

Once the popping sound reduces, open the lid and add jeera, pepper. Turn off the gas and let them get roasted in the pan’s heat..

Grind all of them into a fine powder once cool. And its done.

Make small batches of the powder everyweek, so you get the maximum nutrition from flax seeds. If you store if for too long the nutrients will get oxidized.
